What a joy it is to have the opportunity to photograph the loving connection and excitement that comes with the imminent arrival of a wee babe. Maternity photoshoots, for me, encapsulate and distill that feeling of anticipation and the deep love that people have for each other when they are awaiting a small person to join them.
I was lucky enough to meet Giv and Troy through the antenatal classes that I run. They're fun and down to earth and have a great care and love for each other. Te Arai was the obvious choice for their shoot and we braved the cold winter sea and the cloudy sky to make some gorgeous images of their lovely baby bump.
I'm so excited about meeting the new baby when it arrives!
